About the Toronto Museum Project

The Toronto Museum Project chronicles the rich 11,000-year story of Toronto. In its current phase, the TMp uses technology to reveal objects rarely or never seen by the general public. Voices from the community then give new meaning to these objects.

By looking at the past, present and future, the TMp will articulate our shared story of social, cultural and economic diversity. There is something unique happening in this city where more than half of our residents were born outside of Canada, yet we successfully coexist and collaborate. Through the TMp, we will share our stories with each other and with the world.

The City of Toronto’s Museum Services unit is responsible for the Toronto Museum Project. For more information about the City’s museums and artifacts, and to follow the path of the Toronto Museum, visit www.toronto.ca/culture/museums
